Dr. Ravindra Pal Malhotra
Dr. Ravinder Pal Malhotra is one of the finest and well-experienced liver transplant surgeons in India. He is one of the few surgeons who has been the part of more than 2000 liver surgeries, 700 live donors related liver transplants and 500 gall bladder cancer resections. His specialty interests include donor safety protocols, pancreatic tumors, complex liver resections and other robotic GI &HPB surgeries.
Besides this, Dr. Malhotra is also the part of the complex cases that include combined kidney and liver transplant, swap liver transplant and liver transplant in situs inverses donor. With more than 17 years of experience in the field, he has multiple presentations, abstracts, publications and posters to his credit.
He completed his MBBS in 2002, from one of the renowned colleges of Delhi, Maulana Azad Medical College. After MBBS, he did MS (General Surgery) from the same college. And he also did his fellowship in liver transplant from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (2009-2010). He has also performed all kinds of General and Laparoscopic surgery including advanced laparoscopy surgery independently. Dr. Ravindra Pal Malhotra is appreciated for his excellent work in liver transplantation. In his extensive career as a liver transplant surgeon, he is well known for Mesenteric Vascular Surgeries, Small for size Syndrome and cadaveric liver transplantation
From 2010-2011 he worked as a Senior consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi
From 2011-2012 he was appointed as a consultant (HPB &GI Surgery) at Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon
He joined as a Faculty, GI Surgery Accreditation Program - Harvard University (2014-2016)
He is currently the director &HOD, Gastro Sciences and Centre of Liver Transplant at Saroj Specialty Hospital, Delhi
Awards and Achievements-
In 2004, he won the best Aorta Suturing Award in International Surgical Update
In 2005, Dr. Malhotra got the Best Paper Award in ICC, International Critical Care Association
Dr. Malhotra is one of the prominent members in two of the largest living donor related liver transplant and two of the biggest liver transplants in India
He has been appointed as the regular faculty at different top government hospitals.
In 2010 he discovered new classification of cancer, IHPBA and incidental gallbladder cancer, Argentina.
He has multiple presentations, posters, abstracts and publication to his credit
